Scarf manufacturing for brands and retailers

Textiles have been part of MKS since 1994 and are run by a dedicated textile team. Ten Thousand Villages has sourced scarves from us since 2004. We develop prints and colourways with you, then produce in fibres that suit your market and price point.

Fibres, techniques and finishes

Choose a fibre, then a technique — every combination is sampled with you before bulk production.

  • Fibres: pure silk, cotton, linen, modal, bamboo, wool and blends
  • Solid-dyed, ombré and colour-block
  • Hand block printed and screen printed
  • Hand-painted and custom design patterns
  • Woven borders, checks and pompom fringes
  • Kantha — layered cotton, hand-quilted with running stitch

Frequently asked questions.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Our MOQ starts at 50 pieces per style, which makes MKS a practical partner for startups and small brands testing a first collection as well as established labels running repeat orders of several thousand units.

Can you produce our own print or colourway?

Yes. Send artwork or a Pantone reference and we will strike off colour and print samples for approval before bulk production.

What is kantha?

Kantha is a Bengali running-stitch embroidery, traditionally used to layer and quilt cotton saris. The hand stitching gives every kantha scarf or throw its own texture, so no two pieces are identical.

Are you a certified ethical manufacturer?

Yes. MKS has practised Fair Trade since 1994, and our workshop is Sedex audited. Artisans are paid above market rate, everyone employed is over 18, and leather comes from OEKO-TEX, LWG and GRS certified suppliers.
