MKS has manufactured bags for fair-trade and independent brands in the US, UK and Europe since 1994. Send us a tech pack, a sketch or a reference sample — our pattern makers develop it, build a prototype in about a week, and refine it with you until it is right.
Once the sample is approved we produce your order in the same workshop, with the same artisans, under one roof. The team that made your prototype makes your production run, so the bag you approved is the bag you receive.

Leathers and materials
We work in full-grain, smooth (corrected-grain), vegetable-tanned and embossed leathers, plus canvas and jute. Our upcycled Shanti Leather line turns cutting-room offcuts into new pieces. Linings, hardware, zips and edge finishes are specified with you during sampling.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our MOQ starts at 50 pieces per style, which makes MKS a practical partner for startups and small brands testing a first collection as well as established labels running repeat orders of several thousand units.
How long does sampling and production take?
Prototypes are typically ready in 5–7 days once the design and materials are confirmed. Bulk production takes 4–8 weeks depending on quantity and finish, and orders ship FOB Kolkata.
Do you work with startups and first-time bag brands?
Yes. We help refine the design for manufacturing, suggest leathers and hardware that fit your price point, and keep first orders small with a 50-piece MOQ.
Can you put our brand name and packaging on the products?
Yes. Everything we make for partners is private label — debossed or embossed logos, custom hardware, woven or printed labels, hangtags, dust bags and branded packaging are all produced to your spec.
Are you a certified ethical manufacturer?
Yes. MKS has practised Fair Trade since 1994, and our workshop is Sedex audited. Artisans are paid above market rate, everyone employed is over 18, and leather comes from OEKO-TEX, LWG and GRS certified suppliers.
